The Toronto Autosport Club (TAC) exists to bring together automotive enthusiasts with the goal of promoting safe participation in various motorsport activities in the province of Ontario. TAC is affiliated with all the major organized racing organization such as ASN Canada FIA (the Canadian branch of the international governing body of motorsport, the FIA), CASC-OR (Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs Ontario Region), CARS (Canadian Association of Rally Sport) and RSO (Rally Sport Ontario).

Being a member of a recognized automotive club in Ontario is a requirement in participation in any organized motorsport in Ontario, so becoming a member of TAC will affiliate you with all of the above organizations and allow you to participate in racing and autosports.

The majority of TAC's members participate in various forms of automotive competition, including Road Racing, Rallying, Time Attack, Autoslalom and Ice Racing; for more a more detailed overview of these activies please go to our Disciplines pages.

TAC also has a very active social side. One of our most popular events is our BBQ at the American Le Mans Series Weekend at Mosport. Our annual Year End Party and Awards Banquet around November or December is always a fun night. And, of course, our monthly meetings give members a chance to catch up on the Club news, business, and other member's competition exploits.

Fifth Gear is TAC's award-winning monthly newsletter, published twelve times per year, and mailed directly to our members. Usually running around thirty pages, it serves as the Club bulletin board and soapbox! In it you will find reports from the Club Executive, a complete autosport calendar of upcoming events, and a variety of articles and opinion pieces written by the members themselves.

A Brief History of the Toronto Autosport Club:

The Toronto Autosport Club was founded in 1955 as the DKW Owners Club. When DKW was folded into the Audi conglomerate, the club re-formed as the FIAT Auto Club, and continued until FIAT also closed its Canadian operations! Having frightened two entire car companies out of the country, the Club Executive decided that a new name strategy was in order, and we've been the Toronto Autosport Club (TAC) ever since. So far, the city of Toronto seems to have survived, despite this decision.

Regular Club Meetings:

Club meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month except August and December, at 8:00pm at the Dub Linn Gate in the Hwy 7 and 400 area (Concord Plaza, to be exact).  Come early and have dinner with fellow members! Guests are always welcome too!

See you there!
